Discovering creativity: Polvere di Shabby!

Oggi vi presento una nuova creativa: Michela Santini, di Roma, fondatrice di Polvere di Shabby! Lei ama da sempre lo stile shabby chic (e come darle torto), ha iniziato creando complementi d'arredo e restaurando mobili e poi sono arrivati i gioielli. Inizialmente creava gioielli per le spose e le damigelle per i matrimoni di cui si occupava e che organizza ancora ed è proprio a queste occasioni che è dedicata la sua linea "Colazione da Tiffany" i cui protagonisti sono il raso e le perle. Altra linea molto femminile, fatta di nastri, colori pastello, pizzi e merletti è quella "Fiocco". C'è poi la linea "Cabochon" che consiste in collane con ciondoli in stile vintage. L'ultima linea creata è "Nuvole" con pom pom di tessuto come protagonisti. Questa linea è stata da poco presentata allo Shabby Chic Market, il primo mercatino romano dedicato allo stile shabby e che ha organizzato lei stessa. Today I present to you a new creative: Michela Santini, from Rome, founder of Polvere di Shabby! She has always loved the shabby chic style, she began creating furnishings and restoring furniture and then turn to the jewelry. She initially created jewelry for brides and bridesmaids for weddings which she was involved, and she still organize wedding, in and it was at these times that she dedicated her line "Breakfast at Tiffany's", whose protagonists are the satin and pearls. Another line very feminine, made of ribbons, pastel colors, lace is the "Bow". Then there is the line "Cabochon" which consists of necklaces with pendants in vintage style. The last line created is "Clouds" with pom pom tissue as protagonists. This line was recently presented at the Shabby Chic Market, the first market in Rome dedicated to shabby chic style that she organized. One day at Lago Maggiore!

(continuiamo coi post arretrati) Quest'anno settembre è iniziato caldo e soleggiato e la mia famiglia ed io ne abbiamo approfittato per fare una gita al Lago Maggiore! Appena arrivata mi è sembrato quasi strano che un posto così bello si trovasse in Piemonte, dove io e i miei amici ci lamentiamo che non c'è mai niente. Siamo stati sull'Isola dei Pescatori e sull'Isola Bella (abbiamo saltato l'Isola Madre ma sicuramente ci tornerò per visitare anche quella). Entrambe le isole hanno piccole vie caratteristiche piene di negozietti e bancarelle con cose carinissime, il posto ideale per me. Abbiamo pranzato all'Isola dei Pescatori per poi andare a visitare il Palazzo Borromeo sull'Isola Bella, un posto davvero incantevole. Gli interni del palazzo sono maestosi, pieni di quadri bellissimi, mi sono piaciuti soprattutto i colori delle pareti e alcuni mobili costruiti con inserti di madreperla. Un vero spettacolo sono poi i giardini, dove i pavoni si mettono in mostra tranquilli. La visita del Palazzo è costosa ma ne vale davvero la pena. Consiglio a tutti di visitare queste due isole! ;)

This year September began hot and sunny and my family and me had the opportunity to take a trip to Lake Maggiore! When I first arrived it seemed almost strange that such a beautiful place was in Piedmont, where my friends and I complain that there is never anything beautiful to see and to do. We were on Isola dei Pescatori and Isola Bella (we skipped Isola Madre but I'll definitely come back to visit it). Both islands have small characteristic streets full of shops and stalls with cute things, the ideal place for me. We had lunch on the Isola dei Pescatori, then go to visit the Borromeo Palace on Isola Bella, a really lovely place. The interior of the building are impressive, full of beautiful pictures, I especially liked the colors of the walls and some furniture built with mother of pearl inserts. A real spectacle are also the gardens, where peacocks show themselves peacefully. The visit of the Palace is expensive but it worth the effort. I recommend everyone to visit these islands! ;)

Este año septiembre comenzó caliente y soleado y mi familia y yo tuvimos la oportunidad de hacer un viaje al Lago Maggiore! Cuando llegué me parecía casi extraño que un lugar tan hermoso estaba en Piamonte, donde mis amigos y que nos quejamos que nunca hay nada. Fuimos a la Isola dei Pescatori y la Isola Bella (nos saltamos la Isola Madre, pero sin duda volveré a visitarla). Ambas islas tienen pequeñas características calles llenas de tiendas y puestos con cosas lindas, el lugar ideal para mí. Almorzamos en la Isola dei Pescatori y luego fuimos a visitar el Palacio Borromeo en la Isola Bella, un lugar realmente encantador. El interior del edificio es impresionante, lleno de cuadros, me gustaron especialmente los colores de las paredes y algunos muebles construidos con insertos de madre de perlas. Un verdadero espectáculo son también los jardines, donde los pavos reales se manifiestan pacíficamente. La visita del palacio es cara, pero vale la pena. Recomiendo a todos a visitar estas islas! ;)

Say welcome to Masha! :)

Nei post precedenti vi ho parlato di una novità a casa mia che mi sta tenendo occupata e oggi ve la presento: lei è Masha! Masha è una cagnolina di quasi 3 mesi, adorabile, è molto dolce ma è anche molto vivace, ha sempre voglia di giocare. Sa come tenerti occupato ma sa anche farsi amare, io me ne sono innamorata da subito. E' anche una cagnolina molto sfortunata perchè stava già male quando l'abbiamo presa e continua ad avere qualche problema di salute, è potuta uscire fuori di casa poche volte (quindi quasi tutte le foto che ho di lei sono scattate dentro casa e non sono il massimo). Per questo quando non sono all'università o al lavoro cerco di starle vicino il più possibile, per tenerla d'occhio e farla sentire amata (abbiamo anche fatto i turni di notte per guardarla). Però devo dire che già non saprei come farei se non ci fosse! :) Anche se le foto non sapranno rendere la sua bellezza spero lo stesso che vi conquisti un po' come ha fatto con me!

In previous posts I have spoken of a news in my home that is keeping me busy and today I present she to you: she is Masha! Masha is a dog of almost three months, adorable, very sweet but also very lively, she always wants to play. She knows how to keep you busy but also knows how to make you love her, I fell in love with her immediately. She's also a dog very unfortunate because she was already bad when she arrived and continues to have some health problems, she was able to get out of the house a few times (so almost all the photos I have of her are taken inside the house and are not so good). So when I'm not at university or at work, I try to be close to her as possible, to take care of her and make her feel loved (we also took turns at night to look at her). But I must say that I already do not know what I would do if she were not! :) I hope that she will conquer  you a bit as she did with me!

En los post anteriores he hablado de una novedad en mi casa que me mantiene ocupada y hoy os la presento: esta es Masha! Masha es un perro de casi tres meses, adorable, muy dulce, pero también muy alegre, que siempre quiere jugar. Ella sabe cómo mantenerte ocupado, pero también sabe hacerse amar, yo me enamoré inmediatamente. Es también un perro muy desafortunado porque ya estaba mal cuando nos llevamos a nuestra casa y sigue teniendo algunos problemas de salud, ha podido salir de la casa un par de veces (por lo que casi todas las fotos que tengo de ella estan tomadas dentro de la casa y no son el máximo). Así que cuando no estoy en la universidad o en el trabajo trato de estar cerca de ella como sea posible, para cuidarla y hacer que se sienta amada (también tomamos turnos en la noche para mirarla). Pero tengo que decir que ya no sé cómo haría si ella no estuviera aqui! :) Espero que os conquistarà un poco como lo hizo conmigo!
